James Howard was a Portfolio Manager with Futuregrowth Asset Management from 1998 to 2019 when he stepped aside to focus on serving on the boards of some Futuregrowth portfolio investee companies. His experience and successful track record in capital raising and application, and in managing developmental projects such as low-cost housing via Futuregrowth’s Development Equity Fund is a valuable addition to our Board. James’ understanding of the balance between making a difference to communities and achieving stable risk-related returns for stakeholders aligns well with TUHF’s vision of creating impact through scale, as a good business doing good.
James has a BCom degree from Stellenbosch University. His work experience before he joined Futuregrowth includes major parastatal Transnet and private-sector leader Anglo American Corporation.
